The <fiji:endPoint> component is the child tag for <fiji:swf> that implements bridge mechanism to enable the interaction between client-server architecture used in Flex and JSF. With the help of the <fiji:endPoint> component you could access to the proper object inside JSF application.

Here is a number of key features of the <fiji:endPoint> component:

  • getting the whole structure of the bean with the help of the "value" attribute binded to the class
  • getting the structure of the specific bean property with the help of the "value" attribute binded to the property In this case the default get() method is used
  • getting the structure generated by the specific method of the bean with the help of the "service" attribute binded to the method of the bean
  • Using Encoder. If the "value", "service" attributes are defined in the <fiji:endPoint> the received structure is serialized with the default encoder. With the help of the "encoder" attribute you could define encoder class for data serialization into specific structure.
  • Using Decoder. In order to generate the object from the HTTPService parameters you could use decoder by specifying decoder class in the "decoder" attribute.
